Feliz has both scent and distance capabilities. Her coat is double and extremely tight and wirey…a coat you CAN roll…the dream of every breeder/hunter because it repels the weather and insulates the dog from hostile environments. It is also extremely rare for wire breeders to consistently produce. Also, she has that lovely “wrap around front” and is a bitch you can span with your hands.  Her ribs contract as they should for below ground work…so the dog CAN turn around underground.  She has16 field trial points and is more than halfway toward her conformation title. She is temperament tested by ATTS and has displayed such stability in so many situations she will be in Search and Rescue very soon! She has several terrier race first places and loves earthdog and field trials, hates agility and could care less about therapy work.  She has her first and last litter on the ground sired by “Mr. Perfect”, our own Ray purchased from a line with sound temperaments, superb hunting capabilities and from German lines where both ends of the titling have been strictly adhered to, on both sides of his pedigree.  We are truly excited about what these two have produced for us.

This is Feliz and Roger near some railroad tracks in Chaffee, Missouri.  The Tiger Lilies grew wild there but Feliz HEARD a rabbit on the run.  We nearly lost her shortly after the photo.

This is Feliz and me (Wanda) with our “Fastest Dachshund” ribbon in Kalamazoo, MI.
